Rained out again so my oldest son, Brandon and I went and watched the races at Lake County Speedway in Madison, SD. Pretty good racing. Kind of nice to watch races and relax for a change.

Hoping for another rain out to give me more time to get my motor back in shape, but not tonight. Guess I haven't told you about what I found out about my motor and why it was always low on oil pressure. Come to find out that I was being stupid when I put the bearings in the motor. For some reason I was thinking that I had a standard ground crankshaft and put standard size bearings in the motor. Duh!!! I have a .010/.010 ground crank. In other words, I had too much clearance using the wrong bearings. In the process, I spun 6 of the 8 bearings and wrecked 6 connecting rods in the process. The crankshaft was just starting to turn blue but was caught in time so that it only needed to be polished instead of reground or completely replaced. Still, it was about a $400 mistake and is taking a little time to come up with some money to get 'er done. Hopefully not too much longer.
